A PROJECT OF
CONVERGENCE:
THE CENTER OF CULTURES
Currently, the coexistence of diverse cultures is part of our everyday
life, therefore we believe it is necessary to create an arena that redeems
the ideas, beliefs, and attitudes which, above all differences, are found
in the hearts of diverse peoples and individuals. The Center of Cultures
is an initiative that has as its objective the convergence of diversity
and multiplicity with respect for particular differences and highlighting
these qualities that when placed as models and ideals for life have historically
moved people in the direction of their highest evolution. Values such
as the universality of the human being, respect for diversity, the disdain
for violence, and the protest of war must be the themes of interchange,
discussion, and work of all the individuals that aspire to have a pluralist
and multi-faceted society. Putting up for discussion the current model
of society is a legitimate right for any person who regards the human
being as the central value.
"... Humanists are internationalists, aspiring to a universal human
nation. While understanding the world they live in as a single whole,
humanists act in their immediate environments. Humanists seek not a uniform
world, but a world of multiplicity: diverse in ethnicity, languages and
customs; diverse in local and regional autonomy; diverse in ideas and
aspirations; diverse in beliefs, whether atheist or religious; diverse
in occupations and in creativity." *.
